Understanding processes

Processes are the engine of your company. Processes describe how your resources are used and how the work is done. Processes help to find a common language and determine whether things are going well or badly. Processes are measurable and make an organization scalable. Whether process map, formal process description or process profile, horizontal, dynamic or tabular representations and modeling options. Quam can do almost anything.

Process management with Quam

With Quam you practice active process management by recording your processes and checking them for meaningfulness and redundancy and reorganizing them. Regardless of whether it is a process map, process description or process profile - you can compile your process descriptions and process-related evaluations (key figures and matrices) individually.

Process modelling

All dynamic work processes are represented in the process organization. With Quam you can easily record your business processes by integrating visual process models - either with our easy-to-use Quam modeler or thorugh the use of Microsoft Visio.
With Quam you answer the question: What and how does who do, where, with which resources, according to which rules and with which goal. If you represent this in a process, you can map complete organizational structures. Every employee can participate in the visualization and implementation of the processes and organizational structures relevant to him or her.

Process analysis

Quam uses its very own modeler or, alternatively, Microsoft Visio for graphical modeling. However, this does not only result in graphical drawings, which can only be analyzed and reused to a limited extent. Quam recognizes the individual components of the modeled processes and diagrams and saves them individually for versioning and consistent use in the organizational model. By enriching the process diagrams with process descriptions and information about responsibilities, participations, informational participants, decision makers (RACI), IT systems used, forms, applicable regulations and orders, etc., electronic images of procedural instructions and work instructions, job and function descriptions, responsibility matrices, etc. are systematically created. - automatically and completely without documents and paper.

Process networking

The meaningful networking of processes in Quam naturally takes place via their start and end events. This allows you to navigate from process to process without leaving the graphical display.
This alone, however, is not enough to bundle responsibilities, sort areas of application or identify more far-reaching relationships. Quam therefore makes it possible to create networks across all organizational elements of the organization. Seemingly complex relationships are created in Quam step by step across the process structure matrix and this is exactly what enables logical evaluations of the processes from a wide variety of perspectives.

Process-structure-matrix

A process structure matrix (RACI matrix) shows which organizational units or roles are involved in which process steps and in which manner. After modeling, the created models can be made available to employees in several languages as a uniform working basis.
Thanks to the links between the structural and process organization, Quam structures and organizes, for example, people, roles, forms, IT systems or information along the processes.

XRM

XRM stands in the Quam for Extended-Relationship-Matrix or also 'Anything-Relationship-Matrix'. With the help of XRM you can connect any element of your organization with other elements. For example, you connect processes with standard chapters or connect workflows with your roles, organizational units, committees. Whatever you want to reference or link with each other, the XRM is a simple tool to map seemingly complex organizations bit by bit in the Quam.
