Portfolio management - Easy navigation through multiple projects

Portfolio management in the Quam® project management module allows navigation from a central project management portal page to individual projects, which in turn can be grouped into programs and structured into subprojects. Projects can be centrally applied for, approved, generated, planned and controlled in their execution. Project controlling can be carried out and project expenditures can be recorded. In this way, Quam promotes cross-project collaboration and joint documentation of results.

Multi-project management - Cross-project work made easy!

The project management module in Quam is a web-based tool based on Microsoft® SharePoint® technology that supports project team collaboration and joint documentation of results and risks in projects in addition to the classic project management applications.

The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a central view makes the work for each individual project member as well as for the project manager much clearer and faster. Each project can therefore be processed better and more effectively.

Portfolio overview - individual view for each project participant

In the portfolio overview, even extensive portfolios of project applications pending for approval, approved or rejected as well as active and completed projects can be clearly displayed and filtered according to various criteria.

Each employee sees an individual portfolio, in which only projects and programs that are actually relevant to him are clearly displayed. From this overview, the respective employee can then manage the displayed projects.

Project Cockpit - All important project data in one overview

In the project cockpit, all running projects are displayed in a consolidated Gantt chart. This overview should give portfolio managers a quick orientation about the projects in the system and support their disposition. Indicators that can be easily captured visually enable quick orientation and focusing. Below the Gantt chart, status information is consolidated and graphically displayed and can be used to filter the consolidated Gantt chart according to various criteria.

The information of the currently approved project plans is displayed here for an overview, without the portfolio manager having to navigate individually to each project. Project histories can also be compared in this way.

Project application - The starting signal for new projects

The formal basis for the approval of a project is the project application. In addition to an initial description of the project objectives to be achieved, the project application also includes a time classification and a budget framework within which the applicant organisational unit considers it feasible to carry out the project.

A project application is the initial step towards the approval of a project and the resources for the upcoming project task. Before a project room can be created and a project team assembled, the project proposal must be approved by a portfolio manager. Rejected applications can be deleted or collected for later approval.

Central resource pool - central administration of each project participant

The project participants of all projects are centrally managed in the project employee list of the project portfolio. In addition to employees from your own organization, external project team members can also be managed who do not have a user account on SharePoint, but should nevertheless be considered as resources in the project planning.

The project manager, a (also temporary) deputy project manager and the project team members in different roles can be centrally assigned to the projects directly at the level of the project portfolio by a resource manager.

Central client pool - Enter once, infinite benefits

In many projects, new and different clients are also constantly coming up. The data of each individual client is collected and stored in the central client pool. If a new project is assigned to an existing client, the master data of the client does not have to be re-entered, but can be retrieved directly from the client pool.

The storage of the client's master data also makes it possible to use it as a filter criterion in the portfolio overview. Thus, for example, all projects with the same client can be quickly brought into an overview.
